Allens Catering Equipment & Furniture Hire Ltd is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

The key points of its strategy to achieve this are;

  • Minimise waste by evaluating operations and transport arrangements ensuring they are as efficient as possible
  • Minimise toxic emissions and wastage through the selection and use of modern efficient vehicles, washing machines and office equipment. – We use the highest specification of reverse osmosis water treatment plan and compact washing machines to ensure economy, performance and energy conservation
  • Use recycled products when possible, and choose environmentally friendly and biodegradable chemicals for processing whenever possible – We test all new more environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals and introduce them according to performance
  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers
  • Minimise packaging and reuse all protective containers and boxes used in the transportation of our hire items – We consider the materials and longevity of all new packaging for our products and reuse all cardboard packaging
  • When sourcing a product range to consider the environmental impact of both production and distribution before adding to our hire range
  • Meet or exceed all the environmental and waste management legislation that relates to the company – Our lighting and heating requirements are actively monitored for efficiency
  • Monitor and educate staff to help achieve these aims at work and at home
