Placing an Order For Catering Equipment With Allens Hire
To hire catering equipment or furniture use the top navigation, search bars, and filter systems to find the products you are looking for, enter the quantities you require, and proceed through to our shopping basket.
Register with Allens Catering Equipment and Furniture Hire before you send an order or quote through. Our checkout will calculate all applicable charges and you can then submit an order or a quote. If you are a cash customer placing an order you will be directed to our payment gateway to process your payment. Account customer orders will be processed in the normal way.
Status of your Quote or Order
"Quote"
You can save as many quotes as you like and once happy, you can proceed with payment to confirm your acceptance of the hire.
"Order Processing"
Once the quote is paid for online, you will now see an "order processing" status until we confirm it.
"Awaiting Delivery"
Once we have processed, your order will show as "Awaiting Delivery".
"On Hire"
When your goods have been delivered (Allens deliver and collect) or collected (Customer collect and return) they will show as "On Hire". Your invoice will show in your invoice history on the day of delivery.
"Completed"
Orders will show "completed" only when we have processed the return of goods and all losses and damages have been dealt with. Further invoices and/or credits will appear in your invoice history if applicable.
Security Deposits
Any security deposits will be returned when all the goods are safely returned to our stock.

Stock Shortages
If for some reason we do not have the goods you have ordered on the dates you require, we will advise you when we send our confirmation with suggested alternatives and liaise with you on how you wish to proceed.
Delivery and Collection
Customers can collect and return hired catering equipment and furniture from our warehouses in West London, Southampton, Bristol/Corsham, Luton and Exeter. For larger orders, our fleet of lorries provides regular delivery and collection services across London, the South East, the South Coast, the South West, the Midlands and surrounding areas. Standard transport charges vary by delivery zone. As a guide, London deliveries or returns are typically charged at £65.00 each way, while Southampton and South West deliveries or returns are typically charged at £35.00 each way. Orders outside our standard charging zones are priced on a mileage basis from the nearest Allen’s Hire depot.
When quantities don’t meet our minimum order values you can simply pick it up. In order to collect your order you will need two forms of ID, including a utility bill or bank statement and a photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.
Washing Up
Most clients choose to use our washing service, applicable to the majority of our hired catering equipment, excluding hired linen and furniture rentals.
One of the benefits of catering equipment and furniture hire is that we can do all the washing up for you. All you have to do is remove any heavy food debris and repack catering items in the boxes you received them in. We will do all of the washing up back at Allens Hire HQ.
A cleaning charge will be listed on your invoice if you choose to take up this option. There is no charge for cleaning furniture or linen.
