Angus Memorial Pancake Day

On 2nd April we remembered Angus Porteous, our General Manager, who sadly passed away on 26 January this year.
It was an emotional day, welcomed by all as an opportunity to remember him. Always generous, polite and thoughtful, Angus would always go the extra mile. He had a wealth of knowledge about the hospitality industry which put him in good stead with clients.
He was often involved in organising events for the staff; the Pancake Day was one of his favourites. We felt this was a great way to remember him and the contribution he made to our business - a great fun day to remember his uniquely dry sense of humour - and we are sure he would have approved!
A mixture of sweet and savoury pancakes were made with anything from traditional ingredients to curried mince filling. Kirsty, picked up the winning entry with White Chocolate crumble shortbread filling with a caramel sauce.
