Everything you need for an Indian summer
Without wanting to jinx things - we’ve been enjoying semblances of an Indian summer here in the UK with warmer temperatures and sunny weather lasting well into September. Since spells of good weather here can be few and far between it’s wise to take advantage of them while they last and consider hosting your upcoming event outdoors.
Of course, you’ll want beautiful outdoor furniture as you’d expect, but the good old British weather means you’ll want to have some contingencies in place for if it gets a bit chilly as the evening draws in. We’ve selected some top furniture hire picks from our garden furniture range to help you make the most of the Indian summer.
Pop up tents
Pop up tents like our 3x3 metre option are a great, versatile weather-beater for outdoor events. They’re perfect for keeping food out of the elements so whether you need to keep your buffet out of direct sunlight or potentially keep it out of the wind or rain if the weather turns, these tents are a great option. They can also make great dining areas for people who prefer to stay out of the sun, so we also offer a 3x6 metre option to give a bit more space.
Patio heater
Sunny September days can be wonderful for your event, but once the evening comes round, it can get a bit chilly. Some of your guests may choose to go indoors but, for those who want to remain outside, or for an outdoor smoking area, a patio heater can be a fantastic option. This will provide some additional warmth for your guests and keep them moving and mingling between the indoors and outdoors.
Parasols
Parasols are essential for any outdoor event where your guests could otherwise be sitting in the sun for long periods of time. Parasols offer some much needed shade to keep your guests cool and help protect their skin from the sun’s rays. There are different styles and colours available, such as our pagoda sunshade or our Large Green Parasol, both of which offer a practical solution that’s also stylish.
Tables and chairs
It might seem obvious, but don’t forget the tables and chairs. Whether you want to go smart with wooden tables and chairs or keep it more informal with the traditional white garden tables and chairs, you can keep your event looking great while ensuring your guests are comfortable.
