How to make sure your fashion show is a hit
If you are looking to plan an event that combines both entertainment and glamour, a fashion show is the perfect option. However, between sourcing the perfect venue, selecting a team of models to strut down the catwalk and making sure your guests are comfortable and happy, a fashion show can require months of planning and hard work, (and a passion for fashion certainly helps!) To make sure that the occasion runs as smoothly as possible, follow our top tips for planning the perfect fashion forward event.
Your choice of venue will depend largely on logistics, and you will need to think about staging and seating right from the start. How many models are you going to have to showcase the clothes, and where are they going to change and enter/exit the stage? How many people are you expecting to attend? These questions will dictate your seating arrangements, especially for guests. Whilst you can request RSVPs to help with numbers, it’s important that you remain flexible. Our range of folding chairs are perfect for pop up functions or events that require a collapsible seating solution. Not only are they lightweight and can be linked with other chairs to create fixed rows, but they also provide you with the flexibility to add and remove seating based on the turn out.
Food and drinks
If you’re looking to give your guests a warm welcome and kick off proceedings in true fashion-week style, why not consider hosting a Champagne reception before the main event? Hire crystal Champagne flutes to toast to the designer, and don’t forget canape platters to serve some pre-dinner nibbles to line the stomachs of your guests.
Finally, if you’re planning to allow guests to mingle and network after the show, it might be worth hiring bar units and staff to man them well into the evening. If this is the case, don’t forget to create a lounge area with more comfortable furniture and LED tables for your guests to relax and enjoy a drink in.
