Return of the Mobot - Allens Hire Looks Forward to the London Marathon
The London Marathon returns this coming Sunday 13 April but that isn't the only triumphant return on everyone's mind, because Mo Farah is back in London. The Olympic gold medallist returns to the city in which he conquered the world and won the nation's hearts. This time around he is bidding to take the top prize over 26.2 miles.
That is perhaps the beauty of this immensely popular event: it can bring together the top athletes in the world, the dedicated amateurs and those simply doing their bit for charity. Around 80% of the 35,000 runners that take part are doing so to raise money for a good cause. Thousands more line the course at various points throughout the capital to cheer them on. It's an event that has to be seen to be believed.
Starting from three different points in Greenwich Park and ending with a spectacular final stretch on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace, the London Marathon promises to be breathtaking once again, in more ways than one.
