What you need to know about hiring furniture for a wedding or party

When it comes to room layout, the arrangement of your chairs can be a show stopper –
At Allens we have a number of stunning options that include Camelot and banqueting chairs in a number of different colours, as well as a translucent option in our Phantom Chair. We also have aluxurious Ascot Medallion Chair with either a white faux leather or black velvet seatpaid, and either a Tall Black or black Mandarin chair equally visually very aesthetic. All of the chairs that we have are quality chairs that are a statement in themselves without the need to cover them.
When hiring tables for your wedding give each person at least 2 feet of space on each side of the table. So a 6 ft wide table should fit 6-8 people – three on each side and two on each end. If you have a round table you should be able to seat 6 around 4 ft table, 10 on 5 ft table and 12 on a 6ft table. We pride ourselves on having a number of half sizes to give more generous spacing for instance there is much more room for 10 guests on a 5.5ft table.

Linen can transform a table and it’s the canvas for your layout. While crisp white linen is more traditional or you can choose from a huge number of colours and styles. At Allens Hire there are a number of different styles in different colours – from a standard linen to a brocade linen, Matisse or shimmer linen. If you are having your wedding in late spring or summer you may want to hire outside furniture such as garden chairs and tables so your guests can enjoy the sun. (Weather permitting) . We have just added a range of new hardwood garden furniture as well as a suite of rattan wicker sofas, armchairs and tables, and chrome edged tables and chairs – again some are on the website and some to be added very soon.
